Read the Fairy Tale!

In a beautiful, marvelous place that only can be found in one’s imagination, is a sweet little treat of a cottage. In this magical cottage live two young princesses. They play all day and drift off to dreamland in the evening. They love to climb the delicious lollipop trees in their front yard and smell the lemon drop flowers in the garden. They play with the gummy bear cat who chases the jelly bean mouse into his sour patch hole. The girls sit on their candy cane porch playing rock candy marbles as a soft rain of sprinkles fall from the cotton candy clouds. They gingerly wave to their kind neighbor the majestic wizard Walt.

Walt watches over all those in the land of the River as he stands tall above in his caramel corn castle. He measures carefully the balance between sweet and tart that nestles in the land. His faithful companion of a licorice whip dog licks the sweetness of toffee and taffy from his fingertips at the end of a long days work. Walt ensures harmony rests among those who reside in Candyland.

Read the Fairy Tale!

In a land beyond time and space, nestled between memories and daydreams is a small structure of four small walls that holds great design. This hideout was the dwelling of Reynold, a wise man with much knowledge of the inner workings of the universe. Those who are eager and determined will set forth on the journey to his hideout in order to ask his sage advice on their inner wonderings.

One such young man set out on his quest in early spring as the waters were just starting to trickle down the mountains. This adventurers name was Dave. He traveled long and he traveled far. He triumphed over many challenges and he experienced unforeseen joy in his wanderings.

After much time Dave came to a wall with a rope, so he climbed to the top. As he quietly surveyed the beautiful land around him, he contemplated his travels. Much had happened to him to influence his thoughts. Turning to his right he found a pair of eyes peering out at him from what he thought was the side of the mountain. Reynold’s peaceful voice whispered, “Have you found what you seek my son?”

Read the Fairy Tale!

Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock echoed throughout the kitchen as the morning sun peeked into the windows. A blue glow maneuvered around the corner and the clicking of wheels rolling on the vinyl mimicked the sound as the robotic dog turned the coffee on for his master.

Luke stirred awake on the second floor and looked out into the world as the darkness from the night receded and the dawn erupted with all its glory. He leapt to his laptop and carried it to the deck where he could surf the net for all the latest news. The updates of what occurred while he slept came flying into view. He would have much work ahead of him today. There were numerous messes to clean up, people to save, disasters to be averted, just the average day.

Luke smiled as visions of past successes flashed across his screen saver. He wasn’t exactly a super hero but may had called him a marvel in his time. He preferred the term enthusiast. For he was passionate about righting wrongs and balancing the scales of justice. This was a truth many had lost sight of in their hurried lives. As he stood in his modern loft, he prepared for much to be accomplished today.

Read the Fairy Tale!

It’s the bottom of the eight and the bases are loaded. The sweat is trickling down the pitcher’s brow; his arm has been weak today. Mike stood at the plate antsy as he grabbed his cap and ran his fingers through his hair. If he could make this hit they would have the game. If not, their season was over.

The dark clouds had been rolling in all afternoon and now the winds were beginning to pick up. The weather was against them but was fate? It was time to find out. Mike kicked the dust off his cleats and tapped the bat as he stared the pitcher in the eye to relay his determination. The ball came down the line and Mike put all his strength into connecting. A loud crack rang throughout the air and for a moment everything else was silent as the crowd looked on in bewilderment as the ball disappeared into the clouds. The players rounded the bases and crossed home plate. Mike had lead his team to victory! Just then the rains came pouring down and lightening ripped through he skies. Everyone went to the safety of the dugout and began celebrating their success.
